Recently we have seen the teasers of the upcoming Oppo K1 smartphone. Oppo has officially confirmed that it will be launching its first online-exclusive smartphone in India, which mark the beginning of a new series in its extensive portfolio. The handset will be a mid-range device which will be featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor and will be launched on 6th of February.

Oppo K1 is to be positioned as an affordable feature-packed smartphone, following the footsteps of its rivals Xiaomi, Honor and others. The biggest highlight of the handset is its in-display fingerprint scanner to be available at a competitive price point. And The same device was announced in China a few months ago that was available in Van Gogh Blue and Mocha Red color options. Although there is no confirmation on the pricing yet, Oppo has already mentioned that it will be priced less than Rs. 20,000.

Oppo K1 price in India 


The Oppo K1 price in India is yet to be revealed officially. However, it is likely to be in line with the China price that Oppo K1 comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM options, priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 16,900) The model with 6GB RAM, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 19,000). It's clear that Oppo K1 will be priced on the same lines as the company has confirmed that it will not exceed Rs 20,000 mark for the K1 pricing.

Oppo K1's features and specifications aren't a mystery to anyone as the phone was originally launched in China in October last year. But consumers in India are curious about the "incredible price" of Oppo K1. Here's an educated guess.

The Oppo K1 will be coming with a big 6.4-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the company has provided an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC with four 2.2GHz Kryo 260 and four 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. Furthermore, the handset will be coming with 4GB / 6GB of RAM options along with 64 GB of onboard storage that could be extended further up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The Oppo K1 comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi i 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS. There is a 3600mAh battery to power the device.

Out of the box, the Oppo K1 will be coming with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Colour OS 5.2 on top and this Dual SIM variant device will be sporting an In-display fingerprint sensor also. The Oppo K1 sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor as well as an LED flash. For selfies and video chat, there is a 25-megapixel camera sensor at the front.

Oppo is selling the K1 in China in two colour gradient options, namely Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue. Both these options are likely to come to India next week.

This is a bold step from Oppo, which is trying to venture into online sales after succeeding in the offline space. To that extent, Oppo has partnered with Flipkart to exclusively sell Oppo K1 in India. The smartphone is likely to go on sale shortly after its launch.

Oppo K1 Camera 


The camera is an uncompromised feature of a smartphone, and especially if belongs to Oppo. This device comes with a 16MP + 2MP dual lens which can capture excellent photos in any lighting condition.
The Oppo K1 tries to impress most of its camera features. Pair of primary and secondary features, in reality there is no comparison in this price range. The rear camera has a dual setup of 16MP + 2MP resolution.
This enables the user of clicking pictures of unmatched clarity. The front camera is of a whopping 25MP resolution to click the best selfies, even under unfavorable conditions.

Oppo K1 Battery, connectivity and Storage


The Oppo K1 gets its power from the 3,600mAh Li-ion battery that can make it last for a day with a single charge. It comes with the dual 4G connection.Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 which includes Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Glonas, etc.
To keep all the users' images, files and data, there is an inbuilt space of 64 GB, which is enough. If the internal space is reduced, then users can depend on external memory slot, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
