Full Specifications - Samsung Galaxy S10  launch confirmed for February 20: Here are details

Samsung Galaxy S10 Specifications

Being a flagship phone, you can be sure the S10 range will come with the best possible hardware for the day. The new Snapdragon 855 seems likely (or the Samsung built Exynos 9820 in other areas), but what else can we expect?

In November 2018, Samsung tipster extraordinaire Ice Universe provided details os the Galaxy S10 Plus’s specs. An AnTuTu benchmark shows at least one version of the phone (not the U.S. mode, judging by the Exynos chip) will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. We believe this may be a lower-end model of the S10 Plus since the Samsung Note 9, released in August 2018, shipped in 128GB and 512GB variants.

The new Exynos 9820 chipset also has a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to support artificial intelligence (A.I.) tasks, and support 8K video at 30 frames per second. While there’s a 2.0Gbps LTE modem on the Exynos 9820 SoC, there’s no 5G modem — but we anticipate Samsung will create a special 5G version of the Galaxy S10 using either the Snapdragon 855 SoC, or a custom chipset.

Speaking of 5G, it’s been made absolutely clear the speculated 5G S10 won’t be the company’s first 5G phone. Samsung’s CEO DJ Koh Dong-Jin confirmed that fact at a press event in South Korea, squashing any previous rumors that claimed otherwise. That doesn’t mean there will not be a 5G version of the Galaxy S10 — Bloomberg is reporting the South Korean smartphone giant has at least one 5G version of the S10 in the works to be released in 2019.

Bloomberg also reports the 5G-compatible Samsung Galaxy S10 may be a Verizon exclusive. In November 2018, The Wall Street Journal reported Samsung would initially release its 5G smartphone in the U.S. and South Korea.

In a separate report, Galaxyclub.nl has also reported that the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G variant will sport a 5,000mAh battery which is higher than all other variants. There have been other leaks as well (Ice Universe) which have stated that the Galaxy S10 Lite will arrive with a 3,100mAh battery, the Galaxy S10 with a 3,500mAh battery, and the Galaxy S10 Plus with a 4,000mAh battery.

Three or four rear cameras
Two front cameras for some models

It's been claimed by Sammobile and Evan Blass the 2019 flagship may come with a triple-lens camera, something Huawei introduced on the P20 Pro earlier in 2018. Blass claims the triple lens camera will be made up of a standard lens, wide angle lens and telephoto lens but he also says these are "preliminary details". Ice Universe also claims the S10 and S10+ will have three cameras on the rear, while the S10 Lite will have two.

All About Samsung also believes the rear could have three lenses and the front could have two meaning the device - or, at least, the S10+ - could have five cameras, something Ice Universe also suggests. There has also been rumours of four cameras on the rear of the S10 however, though it is claimed this might only appear on a fourth model of the S10, referred to as "Beyond X" with the 6.7-inch screen and 1TB of storage that we mentioned above.

Samsung's first triple-camera phone was the Galaxy A7 which has a main camera, depth sensor and a wide-angle lens. The Galaxy A9 meanwhile has four lenses on the back, so increasing the cameras on the Galaxy S10 is certainly a possibility.

It has also been claimed the S10 could have a front-facing camera hidden behind the display, while Blass claims it will be a "punch hole" as we briefly mentioned previously and as Blass leaked.

The principal claimed Samsung Galaxy photograph look touched base as we rang in 2019, and it demonstrates a progressively broad all-screen show, one that uproots the best bezel for a minor forward looking camera implanted into the upper right half of the screen.

This is Samsung's response to the indent cut out, and you can anticipate that the organization should think of a cunning name for this dark gap that disturbs its Infinity Display.

Samsung Galaxy S10 dispatch, livestream subtleties

Samsung Galaxy S10 will dispatch on February 20, and not at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, as the organization did with the past Galaxy S9 arrangement.

Samsung is facilitating its Galaxy UNPACKED occasion in San Francisco. The organization will livestream the occasion on its site at www.samsung.com/universe. The planning has not yet been affirmed.
